Grade 9

Suffah Academy is pleased to announce the planned launch of Grade 9 in Fall 2026, marking the beginning of Milton’s first Islamic High School program.

This initiative is designed for families seeking a faith-centered learning environment that supports students academically, spiritually, and personally during the pivotal high-school years.

Our Vision

The Grade 9 program is being developed to nurture students who are:

  • Confident in their Islamic identity
  • Grounded in strong character and values
  • Prepared for increased academic responsibility
  • Resilient, reflective, and socially aware

Our focus is not only on academic readiness, but on shaping students with purpose, discipline, and leadership skills.

Academic Framework

Instruction will follow all required educational standards, while also providing a holistic learning environment that emphasizes:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Organization, time management, and study skills
  • Clear communication and self-advocacy
  • Accountability and academic responsibility

Learning is structured to support students as they transition into the expectations and independence of high school.

Enrichment & Character Development

In addition to required subjects, students will benefit from integrated programming that supports whole-child development, including:

  • Islamic studies and faith-based reflection
  • Leadership development and mentorship
  • Character education rooted in adab, responsibility, and service
  • Wellness, personal growth, and self-discipline
  • Community engagement and service initiatives

Character building is woven into daily school life—not treated as a separate subject.

Grade 9 Admissions Process (Planned)

Admissions will be intentional and values-aligned, ensuring a strong partnership between the school, students, and families.

The planned application process will include:

  1. Online application submission
  2. Student reflection questionnaire
  3. Parent questionnaire
  4. Family interview
  5. Review of academic history and readiness

Admission decisions will be based on readiness, alignment with school values, and overall fit.
